Those signs are posted all over BC. In my younger days, my friend and I were enjoying some underage drinking on a beach near Kelowna and tried to steal one. They’re impossible to get off with any normal tool, in case you were wondering.

For what it is worth, I’ve seen nearly the exact sign (well, for some reason it doesn’t have anything about Vancouver on it) in suburban Cleveland… Close enough to Canada but still American

I think the guy who makes these signs is from Vancouver. If you take the road west from deep cove, there are similarly-styled signs that say “deer crossing,” but have pictures of camels/elephants. I’ll get a picture next time I drive by.
It’s not just the Canadians who thoughtfully provide signage for dogs! You can find signs similar to this one throughout the Church St. Marketplace in Burlington, Vermont. They crack me up every time.
