How are you ever going to find humor if you always take things literally? This is screamingly funny in part *because* fish can’t smoke. Reminds me of that Far Side cartoon, the real reason the dinosaurs became extinct: because they smoked cigarettes.
And what I can’t believe is that no realized I was responding in kind with my own bit of dry, perhaps rather British humour. I thought it was absolutely hilarious. Thinking about the literal implications only makes it funnier as far as I’m concered.
