Not many people know that taking your vows includes a mandatory CPR class and first aid training.

Funny!
I heard those Franciscan Friars are damn good swimmers. I even heard that the Olympic Committee is thinking on giving them their own swimming competition. Even Michael Phelps would finish behind one of those dudes.
Wow. That’s *really* specific…
Is that in code?
Maybe they mean “If you want to drown, at least take one of those pesky friars with you”?
Is it a large baptismal pool or one of those miracle healing places?
I was thinking it is a reference to a book. I don’t know which one. But maybe the body of water and a friar was featured in it?
PS Disaster.
It is at a retreat center…
they say to swim with the friars but really there is a small underwater platform less than 10 ft away from that sign so they really “walk” on water
But scuba diving with sleeping bag and cement shoe is ok…
Maybe the Friars blessed the water so the signs reflection no longer says SHOPPED upside down…
oh! i know this place, i took a picture of the same sign when i saw it several years ago.
Does he sit under a tree and laugh at you?

Seriously! Not even with a Dominican one? Come on people!
I thought for most people Jesus was their co-pilot! I guess that changes in cases of swimming. Does that make the Friar a Monk Fish?
There is always an exception no exceptions.
hey! i was baptised by a Friar.
definately a baptismal pool.
What’s funny is I spent four years laughing at that sign on high school retreat and here it is again. What makes it better is that we always went swimming without a friar
Haha, I’ve been to that retreat centre, it makes my day every time see it!
Haha, I’ve been there many times on retreat. We were never allowed to talk to the friars, so no swimming for us.
Out of the Friar pool, into the fire.
