Sure, Take the Tree's Side

Submitted by: dunno source via Oddly Specific

This is obviously propaganda from those bastards at the Arbor Tree Foundation. Don’t be a victim! If your car has ever been attacked by a tree, speak up. There are people who will listen.

For more oddly specific signs, check out No After-lifeguard On Duty, Just Don’t Touch the Freakin’ Plants, Okay?, and Who Didn’t See That Coming?

  1. Supertron26 says:

You seem to have turned this post into an insurance advert with the last two lines.

  2. Rich says:

I’ve seen plenty of cars attacked by trees. Usually it’s a murder/suicide.

  3. Seibee says:

Only 99 times out of 100, the tree wins.

  4. MRL says:

This sign is only convincing to people who haven’t seen a tree fall across the road in a clear attempt to assault an innocent auto.

  5. Virginia says:

Exactly, MRL. Sometimes the innocent car is even parked and a tree just falls on it! Oh, sure, people claim the storm did it, but here again, we see them automatically taking the tree’s side.

  6. Quicksolver says:

This sign should be near the whomping willow

  7. Moonian says:

The sign must be refering to the Whomping Willow.

  8. Livvy says:

Try telling this to my poor car that was attacked by a tree on a dark stormy night a few years ago!

  9. BoonPflug says:

  10. skeptic says:

Try convincing my (now deceased) father of that. He used to always blame sign posts and trees for hitting him. It culminated when he was indicted for hitting a teenager with a baby stroller, and claimed that the baby stroller was at fault. Those nasty babies, I tell ya’, worse than even trees!

It culminated when he was indicted for hitting a teenager with a baby stroller (no casualties, thankfully), and claimed that the baby stroller was at fault. Those nasty babies, I tell ya’, worse than even trees!

  12. Music-chan says:

Obviously, the people who made this sign have never heard of an Ent attack.

  13. Chris T says:

As an insurance claims agent, I can assure you trees ARE at fault, you just try getting money off the buggers! They keep insisting money doesn’t grow on them!!!

  14. Traceybelle says:

This reminds me of the Minnesota driver’s manual… it actually states, verbatim “Stationary objects, potholes, guardrails, bridges, roadway signs, hedges, or trees won’t move into your path but may influence your riding strategy.”

  15. FraudDetector says:

    Clearly a doctored photo.

  16. Not Doctored says:

This is from the Philippine Military Academy. Dunno if you’ll believe this but the campus is rumored to be haunted. Filipinos take the supernatural for granted, so for us this sign is normal.

  17. serendipity says:

    Loving the message here!

Do lightpoles and trees fall within the same attack group?

  18. Reminds me for some reason of that classic newspaper headline: “Stolen painting found by tree”

  19. Those damn evil fighting trees.

  20. tony says:

you guys are all idiots, how can something without a brain do such a thing? they only have arm and legs

  21. Meyers says:

In Soviet Russia, Tree hits YOU!

  22. Shadow says:

Goddamn tree lovers want to screw us out of our damn settlement money from the trees!

  23. Jeremy says:

Try telling that to Harry Potter.
